Medigap is private insurance that fills the 'gaps' in Original Medicare. It pays most or all of what Original Medicare leaves you owing — deductibles, copays, and coinsurance.
Medigap plans are standardized by letter (G, N, etc.) so the benefits don't change between insurers — only the price and service.
